Frequently Asked Questions

New to the world of compounding pharmacists? Here’s a list of the most common questions we get asked. Can’t find the answer to your question? Get in touch – we’re always happy to help.

We ship all your medications to you free of charge via USPS. Shipping normally takes around 2-4 business days, so keep an eye on your mailbox for it. If you're in the Florida area, priority shipping is available for $10.

Pretty much everything! Common conditions we see every day include: melasma, warts, alopecia, acne, actinic keratosis, psoriasis, and eczema. Less common conditions we treat include: hyperhidrosis, nail fungus, scar, and vitiligo.

Beyond-use dates (BUDs) are the date (or time) that tells you when your preparation must be used by. Different compounds will have a different 'shelf life'.

A general rule of thumb: the higher the water content in a preparation, the shorter the shelf life. It's not a good idea to use your compounds after the beyond-use date.

For our generic and branded dermatology medication, we accept all forms of insurance and offer fixed pricing for self-pay patients.

It is our experience that the majority of insurance companies do not cover compounded medications. We do offer a universal claim form that can be submitted to an insurance company for possible reimbursement. You can also use your HSA or FSA card to pay for your medications.

We offer two options, the first, you can call our pharmacy and speak directly with a technician. The second, you can submit the online form on our website.

Once we receive a prescription from a provider, we will call you and take payment over the phone. You can also pay online.

Every compound we create comes with instructions on how to use it. Please refrigerate medication if it was indicated on your prescription. If not, your compound can be kept in a cool, dark space away from direct sunlight.

Please follow directions on your medication. For information on how to use applicators, please check the medication education sheet for links showing how to use the applicator or call us at 833 MEDROCK.
