ORDER CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER

Policy Statement

MedRock Pharmacy complies with all applicable FDA guidelines and state pharmacy laws concerning the safe handling of medications, especially patient-specific compounded drugs. Due to the customized nature of these prescriptions, orders cannot be canceled or returned once compounding has begun.

Applies To: All prescription orders, including compounded medications.

1. Cancellation Timeframe

Non-Compounded Prescriptions: Orders may be canceled any time before dispensing or shipment.
Compounded Medications: Orders may be canceled only before the compounding process begins. After compounding starts, the prescription is made specifically for the patient and cannot be reused or returned to stock.

2. Pickup and Delivery Policy

Scheduled Pickups: Patients are expected to pick up their prescriptions within 7 calendar days of notification.
If the prescription is not picked up within 7 days, MedRock Pharmacy will automatically ship the medication to the address on file.

3. Refunds and Returns

Compounded Medications: Per FDA and state pharmacy regulations, these are non-refundable and non-returnable after compounding begins.
Non-Compounded Medications: Refunds may be issued only if the medication has not been dispensed or shipped.

4. Legal and Regulatory Basis

This policy is aligned with FDA Compliance Policy Guide Sec. 460.300, which states:

“A pharmacist should not return drug products to his stock once they have been out of his possession… he would no longer have any assurance of the strength, quality, purity or identity…”

In addition, many state pharmacy boards prohibit the return or reuse of patient-dispensed or patient-specific medications. MedRock Pharmacy fully supports and adheres to these public health protections.
